A 45+ year old business that until recently was known as Wedding Wonderland, Lillian Ruth Bride came to life in August of 2017.
THE HISTORY
When Leslie became the owner, she re-named the store after both of her grandmothers: Lillian and Ruth Alyce.
Their beautiful photos from when they were young are proudly hanging above our bar, ready to welcome each LR Bride.
We see so many brides in our shop whose mothers and grandmothers shopped at Wedding Wonderland, and that’s something to be celebrated!
Meet Leslie: Owner + Stylist
I don’t remember when I became interested in bridal, or when my dreams first began about owning my own bridal store. You know those piles of magazines you kept from years ago that are found when you’re cleaning out long-forgotten boxes? I found those recently, and every single one of them was a bridal magazine. While in college at MTSU, I interned at a small bridal boutique in Nashville. I immediately felt at home among the silks and laces, the big ballgowns and dainty mermaids. I remember asking someone, “why would I want to work with everyday clothing when I can work with the most important piece of clothing a girl will ever wear?”. That must be when the dream started!
Eleven years in bridal later, my husband and I moved back to Knoxville to begin transforming Wedding Wonderland into Lillian Ruth Bride. Named after both of my grandmothers (Lillian and Ruth Alyce), this bridal boutique is a true labor of love that is now a haven for brides to feel beautiful, cared for, and celebrated. My deepest dream is now a reality, and I feel so grateful to give brides the experience they deserve in this sweet boutique.
My husband and I married in Nashville in 2016 and welcomed our little boy, Connor, in November 2019. We are also parents to two loveable but crazy dogs, Nora and Ranger.
